Miniature Low-Loss CPW Periodic Structures for Filter Applications
Several novel periodic structures for coplanar waveguides are presented. The proposed structures exhibit low insertion loss in the passband, simple fabrication, and slow-wave characteristics. These structures are applied to realize miniature low-pass filters one-tenth the size of conventional filters, with spurious-free response and deep attenuation levels using only three cells.
متن کاملA Broadband CPW-to-Waveguide Transition Using Quasi-Yagi Antenna
A novel CPW-to-waveguide transition utilizing a uniplanar quasi-Yagi antenna is presented. The X-band back-to-back transition demonstrates 33% bandwidth with return loss better than -10dB. This transition should find a wide variety of applications due to its high MIC/MMIC compatibility and low cost.
متن کاملHigh Extinction, Broadband, and Low Loss Planar Waveguide Polarizers
A technique for making high extinction and broadband polarizers in a low loss planar waveguide platform is presented and characterized. Extinction greater than 78 dB is obtained with low loss for the desired polarization. OCIS codes: (130.0130) Integrated Optics; (130.5440) Polarization-selective devices; (230.7390) Waveguides, planar.
متن کاملBroadband and Low Profile Antenna for Uhf Band
The requirement of wideband and compact devices is ever increasing in most communication systems. In addition, recent increases in the transmission and reception of information have created a need for broadband and low profile antennas. This necessity is particularly challenging in designing Radio Frequency (RF) products that demand these features at low RF bands. There are numerous situations ...
متن کاملA Novel Compact CPW-FED Printed Dipole Antenna for UHF RFID and Wireless LAN Applications
A novel compact CPW-fed printed dipole antenna is proposed for dual-band Ultra wide band (UHF) RFID and wireless local area network (WLAN) operations. This antenna consist of two dipole elements and it covers 2.53 GHz Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID and 5.2 GHZ WLAN IEEE 802.11 Standards. The return loss, radiation pattern, field pattern, linear and circular polarization components are simulate...
